This has the potential to be a high-impact weather event across the Southeast with threats of damaging wind gusts, tornadoes, hail and heavy rainfall. Updating station's digital platforms with live and written content Wednesday was a FIRST ALERT WEATHER DAY for the threat of severe weather across the Tennessee Valley. Primary role: Producing and presenting clear, accurate, and engaging forecasts at least two days per week. Weather duties include, but not limited to: This person will also provide written stories and multimedia weather content for digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a comfortable on-air appearance and be able to break down complex weather situations into easy-to-understand broadcast and online weathercasts. Must be capable of producing and presenting an engaging forecast and will be relied upon to shoot, write, edit, and present news at least three days a week. The winning candidate will be self-motivated, committed to quality, and must have a passion for both weather and news.
